Aburaihan Pharmaceutical manufactures human and veterinary products in Iran. Aburaihan offers its products in various forms, such as ampoule, coated tablet, tablet, ointment, cream, suppository, and capsule; and opical oinment, topical cream, and vial. The company also develops injectable peptide formulations, oral contraceptive, CNS depressant drugs, anti-osteoporosis drugs, and SR formulations; and laxative suppositories for adults and pediatrics. Aburaihan Pharmaceutical was founded in 1965 under the ownership of the German Schering company named "Berlimed of Iran". In 1981, the company was renamed as Aburaihan Pharmaceutical Company  (Private joint stock), and finally turned into public joint stock company in 1981
